Stormy, windy Saturday in latest weather warning

The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute, or KNMI, has issued a code yellow warning for Saturday. The weather office expects hazardous weather because of strong winds. The KNMI expects that the strong winds of between 80 and 90 kilometers per hour will start on the southwestern coast during the late morning and then move along the west coast towards the north coast during the afternoon. The winds should calm down by evening. The weather will also be cloudy with a chance of thunder showers on Saturday. Maximum temperatures of up to 18 degrees are expected. The Traffic Information Service also warned motorists to take the stormy and windy weather into account when on the road. The VID advises against driving with a trailer on Saturday. The KNMI expects that the weather will clear up some by Sunday. There will be more sunshine and afternoon temperatures are expected to reach up to 20 degrees.
