Dutch tourist arrested in Mallorca attack, attempted rape

A 24 year old Dutch tourist has been arrested on the Spanish island of Mallorca on suspicion of aggravated assault and attempted rape. The man allegedly attacked a woman on the Es Carnatge beach at Palma de Mallorca while she was walking her dog, RTL Nieuws reports. The Dutchman tried to rape the woman, but she fought back. He then beat her on the head with a stone, seriously injuring her, and fled. The woman managed to get to a hospital after her attacker had gone. The police were informed and the victim's description of the perpetrator quickly led them to the Dutchman.
