Kalashnikovs flashed in business park robbery

A business on Wijkermeerstraat in Hoofddorp was robbed on Tuesday morning. One person was injured. Witnesses say that Kalashnikovs were used in the robbery. According to the police, several armed men entered the building around 10:39 a.m. The robbers used violence on the people in the building and one man was injured. He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. It is unclear whether the robbers actually stole anything. After the robbery the perpetrators fled in a van towards Hoofdweg. A BMW also might have been involved in the robbery, it was seen driving towards Hoofdweg after the van. An alert witness managed to take down the BMW's licence plate and gave it to the police. The car was found empty in the Hague. Witnesses told RTV Noord-Holland that the robbery was a so called "rip-deal" - a criminal party robbing another criminal party - and that Kalashnikovs were used in the robbery. The perpetrators have not been found. The police are asking any witnesses to come forward.
