Missing Hoofddorp woman found; Showed up safe at home on Sunday night
The Hoofddorp woman abducted last week has been found. She showed up at her home on Sunday evening. She is in good health, the police said.
The woman was kidnapped while driving from Hoofddorp to work in Beverwijk on Wednesday, October 8. The police immediately started searching for her, releasing a photo of the woman when her car was found on Friday.
On Friday night and Saturday afternoon, the police arrested a total of six men for involvement in the woman’s abduction. Investigators also reported that her kidnapping may be linked to a conflict in the international drug trade.
The police did not say anything about what happened to the woman or where she was held between her disappearance on Wednesday and her return home on Sunday. The investigation into her abduction is ongoing, the police said.
“Further information about the motive for the kidnapping and the victim is not being shared at this time, in the interest of the ongoing investigation and the victim's privacy,” the police said.
