KLM pilots have no trust in Air France management

KLM pilots have no confidence in Air France's promise that control of finances will remain with KLM. According to Steven Verhagen, president of the Association of Dutch Pilots (VNV), Air France's verbal promise that KLM will retain control over the coffers is too thin. "We want a clearer statement in black and white, definitely to the staff," Verhagen said. What the pilots want to hear from Air France is "that peace returns with this, that KLM retains its autonomy in financial matters, that we can calmly enter the cutback rounds with KLM and that we don't have to worry that the money that is cut here goes to fill holes in France," Verhagen said. "That is our greatest concern."
