Police hunt Albert Heijn armed robbers

Four armed men attempted to rob an Albert Heijn supermarket on the Alber Schweitzersingel road in Amersfoort on Monday at around 8 p.m. Police hunted the men down in vain on Monday, but have started an investigation, De Telegraaf reports. The men came into the supermarket and threatened an employee with a knife. She tells RTV Utrecht that she could escape unharmed. A cashier was also threatened, but did not have a key to the office. The suspects fled, and nobody was injured. It is unclear if they took anything. The police are still hunting the suspects, who they believe to be around the age of 20 and still armed. Detectives are also investigating.
