Sneijder was named as one of the world's best in 2010. However, he lost the Oranje captaincy a couple of months ago due to his performance in Galatasaray. Coach Louis van Gaal also left him out of the international team for their friendly game with Portugal this week. Huntelaar says even reputable players can lose their place in the Netherlands squad if they fall short to make a positive impression at their clubs.
