On Thursday the police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of involvement in the mistaken identity murder of Stefan Eggermont and the assassination of Massod Amin Hosseini, both in Amsterdam in 2014. Sources told newspaper that the suspect is Ilias K.

K. is already in custody on suspicion of playing an organizing role in the in Zaandam in February 2014, according to the newspaper.

Another victim of a gang-related assassination in Amsterdam seems to be a case of mistaken identity. Youssef el Kahtoui from Zaandam was not the intended target of the De Clerqstraat shooting in which he was killed in May last year, Amsterdam prosecutor Hetty Hoekstra said on AT5 program Misdaad BV.

The street-level assassination of 60-year old Beyhan Demirci, who was shot while standing on her balcony, is possibly a case of mistaken identity, police revealed on Tuesday. The victim was shot by unidentified assailants standing on the street below in Amsterdam Nieuw-West on January 14th.

Last week the police have arrested a man who deals in heavy firearms. The arrest is part of the large investigation into the series of executions that have been happening in Amsterdam for two years.

The Amsterdam criminal E.L. (26) has been arrested for the murder of Stefan Regalo Eggermont.

The 30 year old Stefan Regalo Eggermont, who was shot dead on July 13th, seems to be the first innocent victim of the recent murder spree in Amsterdam. Eggermont seems to have been switched with the intended target.
