A banner with insulting text about the Prophet Muhammad was placed at the As-Soennah mosque in The Hague on Sunday morning. Anti-Islam movement Pegida is responsible for the the action, a spokesperson for the movement confirmed to NOS on Sunday afternoon. 

Translated from Dutch, the banner read: "Prophet Muhammad children fucker". The banner was accompanied by a mannequin wearing a beard, a robe, a turban, and carrying a baby doll. The mannequin was supposed to show Muhammad "having sex with a baby", Abdelhamid Taheri, an employee of the mosque, said to NOS.

A teacher was suspended from the Hoofdvaart College in Hoofddorp in January for insulting the Prophet Mohammad, the Telegraaf reports based on the suspension letter from the school management, which the newspaper has in its possession.

According to the letter, the teacher said that the Prophet Mohammad was married to an 8-year-old girl and that this is seen as pedophilia in the Netherlands. The teacher contradicts the accusation, according to the newspaper.

One of two American tourists who were stabbed at Amsterdam Central Station in August is now bound to a wheelchair and may be for the rest of his life, his lawyer said in a pro-forma hearing against suspect Jawed S. on Tuesday. Pakistan summoned the Netherlands' envoy to the country to express their dissatisfaction about a Prophet Mohammed cartoon contest organized by anti-Islam PVV leader Geert Wilders. "Deep concern was conveyed about this willful and malicious attempt to put Islam in a bad light", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad said, RTL Nieuws reports.

YouTube decided to remove Geert Wilders' anti-Prophet Mohammed video from the site, Wilders announced on Twitter. "YouTube just censored my Muhammad clip. Twitter already made it impossible to watch from Germany + France. The truth is forbidden", the PVV leader tweeted. He also posted more threats made against him on social media.

The Council of Moroccan Mosques in the Netherlands has released a cartoon featuring PVV leader Geert Wilders, in reaction to Wilders' plans to display cartoons of the prophet Mohammed on national television. "With this cartoon we want to show that no loudmouth can rip our society apart", spokesperson Aissa Zanzen said to NOS.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has prepared Dutch embassies to deal with PVV leader Geert Wilders' plan to show Mohammad cartoons on national television. Ambassadors have been instructed to emphasize that the broadcasting of the cartoons are not the government's idea, but that of a parliamentarian making use of his freedom of speech.

PVV leader Geert Wilders has submitted a request to Kamer President Anouchka van Miltenburg to have the prophet Mohammed cartoons from Garland, Texas displayed in the Tweede Kamer, lower house of parliament.
