The third edition of World Summit AI is being held in Zaandam on Wednesday and Thursday. Two hundred leaders in the artificial intelligence field gather to discuss their experiences with and visions for the future of this technology. The summit is expected to attract some 6 thousand visitors.

The Netherlands is looking to appoint a special 'startup diplomat' in Silicon valley, whose job it will be to help young Dutch companies do business in the United States, Minister Sigrid Kaag of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation announced during her working visit to America. The vacancy for the new position, which carries a salary of 8,191 dollars, is now open, AD reports.

The Netherlands is seeing a significant increase in the number of startup companies hitting their scale-up phase, according to researchers at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Last year 331 startups grew into fast-growing companie, compared to 98 in 2014. The Netherlands now counts 3,200 such companies, a five percent increase compared to last year, BNR reports.

Technology and innovation conference CES is coming to Amsterdam in October. The event in Amsterdam will feature a preview of everything that will be presented at the CES Las Vegas next year, AD reports.

CES Unveiled Amsterdam is intended to bring startups, large tech companies and investors from the Netherlands and neighboring countries together. According to the organization, Amsterdam is the ideal location to do this because the Netherlands gives space for technology and innovation to flourish.

The municipality of Dordrecht has announced the King's Day 2015 program, which will take place on Monday April 27th. Dordrecht is the first municipality to organize King's Day with a "new look". Prince Johan Friso, who died on Monday, was laid to rest in a small cemetery in Lage Vuursche, a village in the province of Utrecht. The cemetery is located almost directly opposite to the Drakensteyn Castle, where Friso spent his childhood.

Prince Friso will be privately buried on Friday in Lage Vuursche, in the municipality of Baarn. That was announced by the Government Information Service (RVD).

Prince Friso died Monday at age 44 from the effects of the skiing accident he had in the Austrian Lech in February 2012. He grew up with his brothers Constantijn and Willem-Alexander at Castle Drakensteyn, which is located near Lage Vuursche and borders the site where is the church called the Stulpkerk. He will be laid to rest at the cemetery that surrounds the church.
