The court convicted him of mutilating and defrauding over a 100 victims in the French town of Chateau-Chinon. Van N. is also banned from practicing as a dentist ever again

Dutch dentist Mark van N. will not be prosecuted for helping his wife commit suicide, the Public Prosecutor announced on Wednesday. Van N. was arrested in Canada on the grounds of patient mutilation in France. When he spoke to the Canadian police in September 2014, he suddenly confessed to killing his wife in the Netherlands in 2006.
Healthcare insurer DSW states that Healthcare Inspection has neglected for years to halt the practices of the 'horror-dentist' Mark van N. from The Hague, despite efforts from DSW, on three separate occasions in 2004, 2006 and 2007, to alert the Inspectors to the malpractice, the Algmeen Dagblad reports.
