Twelve crew members of a cargo ship belonging to Groningen shipping company ForestWave were kidnapped by pirates on Saturday. At the time of the attack, the ship was at sea between Ghana and the Nigerian Port Harcourt, NU.nl reports.

The pirates took 12 of the 14 crew members with them, ForestWave announced on Monday. Nothing is known about their condition or fate. The company has been unable to make contact with the pirates.

The Dutch rescue worker who was kidnapped in Afghanistan in June, has been released after 81 days of captivity, Minister Bert Koenders of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday. She is in good health, according to the Minister.

The three Dutch nationals who were released by their Nigerian kidnappers on saturday landed safely at Schiphol this morning. Only one of the returnees was seen at the exit, the other two left the airport via another exit, the Algemeen Dagblad reports.

The three Dutch nationals who were kidnapped in Nigeria, were released on Saturday and will arrive at Schiphol Monday morning, according to Sunny Ofehe, a companion on their trip, from Yenagoa in the Niger Delta.

Police are saying that the man is somewhere abroad, but are not saying exactly where, although the town rumor is that Bagchus is in Thailand. The police have issued an Amber Alert for a missing 9-year old boy from Amsterdam-Osdorp. The boy is called Pedro Ates and was last seen at 8 a.m. on Monday when he went to school. It seems he never made it to school, and wasn't home at 4:30 p.m.

The Dutch couple that was kidnapped in Yemen in June has been released. NOS, NRC Handelsblad and Elsevier journalist Judith Spiegel and her husband Boudewijn Berendsen are currently at the Dutch embassy in the Yemeni capital Sana’a, and they are expected to arrive in the Netherlands on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported.
