The Dutch Air Force has made a deal with its Italian counterpart to send F-16 pilots, and likely also F-35 pilots to train on the Alenia Aermacchi M-346 jet trainer with Italian crews. Both parties signed an agreement in which the Dutch Air Force will kick off the cooperation, sending one instructor and two student pilots to train on the M-346 in Italy's Lecce Galatina Air Base near the southern Italian city of Lecce.

The American heiress to the Goudstikker family, Marei von Saher, is selling 28 of the 202 paintings that the Dutch government transferred to her nine years ago. The paintings were looted by Nazi officers during the German occupation of the Netherlands in the Second World War, and will go up for bid at Christie's auction house on June 3rd in New York.

Public prosecutors from Rotterdam met with their Italian counterparts and police representatives in Rome on Thursday morning, the Dutch prosecutor revealed. Both Rome and Rotterdam have conducted a criminal investigation into the riots that took place in Rome on February 18 and 19 in the run up to a European League match between AS Roma and Feyenoord.

Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) is not going to give the green light to a friendly football match between the Dutch national team and Italy in effort to pay for the damages Rotterdam Feyenoord fans are alleged to have caused during a riot in Rome on February 18th, Telegraaf reported today. The Mayor of Rome, Ignazio Marino, suggested a friendly match between the two teams, it was reported earlier Monday.

European football association UEFA will not take action against Rotterdam Feyenoord fans following the disturbances in Rome.
