Rotterdam prosecutors in Rome for Feyenoord riot talks

Public prosecutors from Rotterdam met with their Italian counterparts and police representatives in Rome on Thursday morning, the Dutch prosecutor revealed. Both Rome and Rotterdam have conducted a criminal investigation into the riots that took place in Rome on February 18 and 19 in the run up to a European League match between AS Roma and Feyenoord. The collaboration is aiming to identify and prosecute more of the perpetrators who behaved violently towards property and other people in consecutive riots. Arrangements have been made for the close cooperation between Dutch and Italian law enforcement agencies. Dutch prosecutors made an initial request for assistance during exchange of information in the meeting. The Italian authorities were asked to provide relevant information about the incident, such as images and security footage. Both sides are optimistic about working together, the Dutch office stated.
