The police arrested a 57-year-old man on Tuesday for murdering Robert Sengers 14 years ago. Sengers was shot and killed in the Noord-Brabant village of Esbeek on September 8th, 2004. The police reopened this cold case last year..

The suspect was already in prison for another crime, though the police did not say what crime. The 57-year-old man is now also suspected of murder and "will be questioned", the police said.

The Public Prosecutor and the Zeeland West-Brabant police's Cold Case team reopened the investigation into the murder of Robert Sengers in Esbeek in 2004. A reward of 15 thousand euros is offered for the tip that leads to the perpetrator, AD reports.
