Chinese media is claiming that the Buddha statue containing a skeleton of a Chinese monk was stolen from a Chinese village in 1995, and the country wants it returned. The statue is currently owned by a Dutch private collector and was on display in Drents Museum in Assen until the recent return to its owner, newswire ANP writes.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines signed an agreement on Thursday to expand its joint venture with China Southern Airlines through a partnership with Xiamen Airlines, KLM stated in a press release. From July 26, Xiamen Airlines will fly three weekly roundtrips between Amsterdam and Xiamen, thus bringing the total number of weekly codeshared return trips on the route to six.
Rotterdam Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb visits Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Bangkok, Thailand from March 8th to the 13th. Aboutaleb is scheduled to share advice on floods and climate handling in Ho Chi Minh City, speak about crisis management in Bangkok while visiting the port authorities of both, the city of Rotterdam revealed in a press release.
