Festival organizer Valtifest was declared bankrupt on Tuesday, the organization announced on their website. The 10th edition of Valtifest, with the theme ArtiFarti, was set to take place on the NDSM site in Amsterdam on September 9th. Whether this can still happen is unclear, Het Parool reports.

The Amsterdam court declared Fifteen, Jamie Oliver's restaurant in the Dutch capital, bankrupt on Tuesday. The restaurant can no longer afford its 25 thousand euros a month rent and now owes over 200 thousand euros, Het Parool reports.

The restaurant served as a training institution for troubled young people between the ages of 18 and 24 years. Many of them struggled with alcohol or drug problems. The eight young people currently training at Fifteen will be transferred to other restaurants to complete their training, according to the newspaper.

A court in East Brabant sentenced 45-year old Willy Selten to 30 months in prison for falsifying invoices, delivery notes and written statements, and using these fake documents in meat trading in two companies. Selten denied knowingly tampering with meat and claimed the fraud incident only to be an administrative error in late March.

This club from Groningen was declared bankrupt last week and SC Veendam only had 8 days to appeal. On Tuesday afternoon, the club will need 675,000 euro to turn back the bankruptcy into a moratorium on payments.

By Saturday, 225,000 euro has been raised and it may have already increased at present.
