Video: Man shot on terrace of chip shop in Tilburg; Perpetrator at large

A man was shot and injured on the terrace of a chip shop in Tilburg on Thursday afternoon. He was eating with his son when the perpetrator walked up and shot him, Omroep Brabant reported. The shooter fled the scene and is still at large.

The incident happened around 4:00 p.m. at the ‘t Belske chip shop on Thomas van Aquinostraat.

Bystanders told the broadcaster that the man was shot in the leg. Paramedics treated him at the scene before taking him to a hospital by ambulance.

The police cordoned off the scene for a trace evidence investigation. They found bullet casings lying on the floor.

Investigators asked witnesses to come forward.
