Dutch police arrest minor placing explosive at Wormer home after another blast in July

Police arrested a minor boy overnight Friday into Saturday while he was placing an explosive at a residence on Knollendammerstraat in Wormer. A second person involved fled and has not been caught.

“We were able to prevent the explosive from going off,” police said Saturday.

On July 16, an explosive detonated on the same street, damaging a front door. The words “220 cocaine” were written on the facade.

Police said they strongly suspect a link between the two incidents but have not officially confirmed it.

Authorities also said they are taking "visible and invisible security measures."
