Video: Man stabbed to death on Amsterdam street

A man was stabbed to death on Tugelaweg in Amsterdam-Oost on Tuesday evening. The police are looking for at least one suspect, a spokesperson told NH Nieuws.

The stabbing happened at around 10:00 p.m. at the intersection with Maritzstraat, near the basketball court. Emergency services responded en masse, also deploying a trauma team by helicopter.

First responders tried to resuscitate the victim, but it was to no avail. He died at the scene.

The police cordoned off the crime scene. According to Parool, forensic investigators and detectives will comb the area on Tuesday.

The police have identified at least one suspect, but do not rule out the possibility that others were involved.

No arrests have been reported.
