Alkmaar family not killed by a third party, police say
Those in the Netherlands in life threatening danger should immediately dial 112 for emergencies, and anyone suffering from depression or contemplating suicide can call 113 Zelfmoordpreventie at any time by dialing either 113 or 0800-0113, or by visiting 113.nl.
Three persons found dead in a family home in Alkmaar on Wednesday “did not die as a result of third-party actions,” the police said after completing the investigation. “There are no indications that others were involved.”
The police responded to the home on Stikkelwaard on Wednesday morning after a cleaner notified them that something was wrong because she couldn’t get in. The three victims were found dead inside.
Locals told the Telegraaf that the victims are a "young" family, including a man, a woman, and a boy of about 2 years of age. The police have not said anything about their identity.
“We understand that there are questions, but out of respect for the bereaved, we will not be providing any further information,” the police said.
The police statement did include contact details for the suicide prevention hotline and victim support.
