Woman stabbed in Vlissingen bus shelter; Police arrest suspect

A woman was injured in a stabbing in Vlissingen on Badhuisstraat on Friday evening, police said. According to Omroep Zeeland, she was found inside a bus shelter when emergency services arrived. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. A suspect has since been arrested.

Police immediately launched a search for the suspect and asked local residents for help through a public alert.

“From the first 112 call, there was a continuous search for the suspect,” a police spokesperson said.

Authorities said they were looking for a man dressed in black, wearing white shoes, and riding a bicycle with a front rack.
