Amsterdam Dance Event finds new home base in city’s Westerpark
This year, the Westerpark will be the new home base of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the event announced. According to the organizers, the new location offers more space for the growing ADE, laying a solid foundation for the event’s future. The new home base will be called the ADE Lab Village, because “it takes a village to grow the next generation of artists, producers, and industry pros,” ADE said in a press release.
Last year, ADE attracted approximately 500,000 visitors, and a growing number of them want to attend the conference program for music professionals. Hence, the need for more space. A large part of the this year's ADE conference program will move to the WestWeelde in the Westerpark.
The organizers described ADE Lab village as “the ultimate home base for your future in music, built for one thing: helping you grow into the artist, producer, or music professional you want to be.” According to ADE, this is its biggest expansion yet.
There will be ADE events at other venues in and around the park, including workshops and a vinyl listening bar at the Radio Radio nightclub. The Pacific Amsterdam café will host more intimate panel discussions and masterclasses with influential names from the music world.
The Bakkerswinkel will be fully equipped with studio equipment, allowing visitors to jam together. There will also be nightly parties at many of these locations, as well as “exclusive performances” at the Gashouder and the restaurants Mossel & Gin and Amsterdam Flavours.
ADE takes place from October 22 to 26 this year. Tickets are already on sale for many of the events.
