Girl, 12, stabbed outside Capelle a/d IJssel supermarket; Two teens arrested

A 12-year-old girl from Rotterdam was stabbed outside a supermarket in Capelle aan den IJssel on Monday. The police arrested two teenage suspects.

The stabbing happened outside the Jumbo supermarket on the Wingerd. Emergency services took the girl to a hospital for treatment.

The severity of her injuries is unclear. She was conscious and able to communicate with the first responders, the Rotterdam police said on X.

The police arrested the two suspects shortly after the stabbing. They are a 15-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, both from Capelle aan den IJssel.

The police are investigating what happened.
