Third victim of Oosterhout shooting in March has passed away from injuries
The third victim of a shooting in Oosterhout at the end of March has passed away. The 25-year-old man from the city in Noord-Brabant had been severely wounded in the hospital since the shooting and he passed away from his injuries on Tuesday, police reported.
Two men had already died as a result of the shooting on March 28. They were both aged 32 and from Oosterhout.
The three men were struck by bullets when shots were fired shortly before 4 p.m. on the Loevensteinlaan. Two of the victims were found with severe injuries in a car on the street, one of them died of his injuries shortly after.
The man who passed away on Tuesday was also in this car. In the Sint Antoniousstraat, a short while away, police also found a severely injured man in a car. He was rescucitated, but also died a short while later.
No suspect has been arrested for the deaths as of yet. Police reported on Tuesday that the investigation into the shootings is still ongoing. A car that was allegedly involved with the shooting was found in Teteringen shortly after the incident.
The identity of the victims has not been released as of yet. De Telegraaf previously reported that one of the victims was nicknamed “Bandi” and had ties to the drug trade. The victim who was found on the Sint Antoniusstraat was allegedly his nephew.
