Fatal crash on A67 near Eersel leaves one dead, three injured

A fatal accident on the A67 highway near Eersel on Friday night left one person dead and three others injured, police confirmed via social media. The crash occurred around 10:00 p.m. when a car with Belgian license plates collided with a guardrail in the center of the road.

One of the four occupants of the vehicle was ejected during the collision and was struck by three other cars traveling on the highway, dying instantly. The other passengers sustained minor injuries.

The police are investigating the cause of the crash, although they have not confirmed who was driving at the time of the incident. The highway was closed temporarily to clear the wreckage, which included the car ending up on its side after the crash. Authorities have provided support to the drivers involved in the crash, offering counseling services.

The accident happened on the section of the A67 heading toward Eindhoven, close to the Belgian border. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.
