Medical emergency forces Transavia Eindhoven-Portugal flight to land in Brussels

A Transavia flight from Eindhoven Airport to Faro, Portugal, was forced to turn back Sunday morning due to a medical emergency on board. Transavia has not disclosed further details about the nature of the medical incident.

The aircraft, flight number HV6607, departed Eindhoven at approximately 7:30 a.m. local time. While flying over Paris, the pilots made the decision to divert to the nearest suitable airport.

The plane landed safely in Brussels, where the affected passenger received medical assistance, according to a spokesperson for the airline.

The flight is expected to continue to Faro once the situation is resolved.
