Hit list with 18 names found in investigation into Rotterdam cocaine world: report
In an ongoing investigation into cocaine trafficking, the Rotterdam police discovered a hit list containing 18 names, including that of a 25-year-old Rotterdam man who was shot dead in May, NRC reported.
According to the newspaper, the hit list is the result of a new conflict in the Dutch underworld. Disagreements about money broke out early this year in the cocaine gang allegedly led by Roger P., also known as Piet Costa. An Iranian man who managed P.'s drug money from Dubai stole 100 million euros, after which P. abducted and held him hostage for some time, the newspaper wrote.
The Iranian man then drew up this hit list with a number of accomplices, according to NRC. The list contains P.'s name, as well as that of the man killed in Rotterdam in May, and that of a prosecutor who was involved in an investigation into the Iranian man in the past, the newspaper wrote.
The man who was shot dead in Rotterdam on May 10 was a confidant of Roger P., according to the newspaper. P. himself has been in prison since June, on suspicion of cocaine trafficking and involvement in a torture container found in Wouwse Plantage in June.
Sources told NRC that the container was meant for the Iranian man, among others.
