Two arrested in Utrecht for possible Eindhoven abduction

The police forced a car off the road in Utrecht early on Tuesday morning and arrested the two people inside on suspicion of abducting a man from Eindhoven. Warning shots were fired during the arrests, the Oost-Brabant police said on Twitter.

The police received a report of a man being forced into a car in Eindhoven. When patrolling officers spotted the car, they gave chase. The car was brought to a halt in Utrecht. As far as is known, no one was hurt.

Whether the victim managed to escape, or was freed by the police when they arrested the suspects, is not clear. Why he was abducted is also a mystery.
