Body found at drug lab hidden in former garden center

The body of a man was found in a drug lab in Den Dungen, a village near Den Bosch, during the early hours of Friday morning. The police believe the man died when something went wrong while he was producing drugs, the Oost-Brabant police said on Twitter. Authorities later stated the victim was killed in an explosion.

The drug lab is located on a business premises on Spekstraat. According to the police, it is in one of multiple greenhouses at a home behind a former garden center. A police spokesperson told NU.nl that because of the high risk of hazardous substances, the national support facility was called in to investigate and help the police in dismantling the lab.

At this stage, nothing is known about the deceased man's identity. His body ws found by the fire department, after the emergency services received a report. No one else was in the drug lab when the authorities arrived.
