Police looking for owners of 75 phones stolen at Defqon.1 dance festival

The police arrested a gang that stole 122 mobile phones from attendees of the Defqon.1 in Biddinghuizen in early June. Many of the phones have since been returned to their rightful owners, but 75 still remain unclaimed. The police are looking for people who lost their phone at the dance festival so that it can be returned to them.

Seven members of the phone stealing gang were arrested in the past weeks, according to De Stentor. With these arrests, 122 stolen phones were recovered.

The police think that the owners of the 75 as yet unclaimed phones have not come forward, because they were not aware of the thieves' arrests and that their phone may be with the police now.

People who lost a phone during the festival can contact the police. They will have to prove that one of the phones is theirs by providing the police with some technical information about the device.

We zijn op zoek naar 75 eigenaren van telefoons die zich nog niet gemeld hebben. Is jouw telefoon gestolen tijdens #Defqon.1? Neem contact op met de #politie via 0900-8844 en geef je imeinummer door: https://t.co/LhKQqWLn5s
