Amsterdam residents arrested for international drug trafficking

The police arrested two Amsterdam residents, aged 62 and 69 years, on suspicion of international drug trafficking on Tuesday morning. The two are suspected of a large number of drug transports to Denmark, Sweden and the United Kingdom, NU.nl reports.

Police officers also searched three homes, including one in Belgium.

"The arrests and searchers are the result of the transport of 58 kilograms of cocaine to England in January of this year involving members of No Surrender, chapter Almere", the police said, according to the newspaper. The action also took place "on the basis of a legal assistance request from Denmark, who requested the arrest and extradition of one of the two suspects."

The police believe the Amsterdam residents trafficked cocaine, hashish and amphetamine, among other things.
