One hurt, four arrested in Rotterdam shooting

One person was hurt in a shooting on Strevelsweg in Rotterdam-Zuid around 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Four suspects were arrested, the police said on Twitter.

The wounded person was taken to hospital. The police closed down the street for investigation. Exactly what happened is not yet clear.

A short time later the police received another report of a second shooting on Lepelaarsingel, about a kilometer away, According to RTV Rijnmond. This turned out to be a false alarm, a police spokesperson said around 6:00 p.m.
