Amsterdam Dance Event sets 2018 dates; 400,000 expected

After another record year in 2017, the Amsterdam Dance Event has announced its dates for 2018, saying that the showcase will focus on South Korea. The 23rd edition of ADE takes place from October 17th to the 21st throughout the Dutch capital city.

Last year, about 395,000 visitors enjoyed the 22nd edition. This year the organizers are expecting a few thousand more, to bring attendance up over 400,000 including local Netherlands residence and international music fans.

While artists are yet-to-be announced, there will be a "range of activities focused on South Korea" at the 2018 edition, according to the press release. Director Richard Zijlma states, “The South Korean electronic music scene is growing rapidly, thanks to technological innovation and smart crossovers. During ADE we will focus on the very best the country has to offer across a wide range of festival and conference events.”

ADE is the world’s largest electronic music club-based festival and conference, the organization claims. Last year’s edition featured over 2,500 artists and 550 speakers in 160 venues. The event attracted visitors from over 90 countries over five days.

Organizers already put the ADE Pass, with access to the complete 5-day program, and the ADE Conference Pass on sale at an early bird discount.
