Wilders files discrimination declaration against PM Rutte

PVV leader Geert Wilders filed a declaration against Prime Minister Mark Rutte on Thursday morning accusing him of "discrimination against all Dutch people". According to Wilders, asylum seekers receive more benefits than Dutch, and because of that and other things, Rutte is guilty of "punishable and criminal behavior", AD reports.

Wilders visited a police station in The Hague on Thursday with a letter to the Public Prosecutor and a big cart full of boxes with statements of support. The street was closed down to traffic while this happened, according to AD.

In his letter to the Prosecutor, Wilders asks that an investigation be done into the Prime Minister's actions. "Discrimination means that you put people behind others, and that happens", Wilders said in front of the police station's door. "Rutte lets Dutch pay more VAT for their groceries, while foreign investors pay zero percent dividend tax. He also arranges that asylum seekers in the Netherlands do not have to pay health insurance and have no deductible, while the Dutch have to pay for this. There are many more examples."

Wilders announced his intentions to file charges against Rutte a week and and a half ago. He also launched a website where people could express their support and list how they are being discriminated against. According to him, the website collected 36 thousand signatures. "People sent hundreds of examples of discrimination, which I have here with me. I am now going to press charges with the support of thousands of Dutch people, an hope that this will be taken seriously", the PVV leader said.

If the Prosecutor does nothing with the declaration, Wilders is considering going to court to force prosecution, he said, according to the newspaper.
