YouTube founder Chad Hurley replaces Kevin Spacey at Rotterdam business event

YouTube founder Chad Hurley was announced as a new headliner to replace actor Kevin Spacey at ING's BusinessBoost event in Rotterdam. At the event he will discuss his time at YouTube and the investments he made thereafter.

Hurley founded the video sharing service in 2005, together with two former colleagues from PayPal. A year and a half later they sold the platform to Google for $1.65 billions. Since 2013 he is the co-owner of the video editing and sharing website Mixbit.

Dutch bank ING decided to drop Kevin Spacey as a speaker at the business event about a week after he was accused of sexually harassing and possibly abusing a teenaged boy several decades ago. In the days following the initial accusation, a dozen others stepped forward with claims of their own, including several staffers on the Netflix series, House of Cards.

ING's BusinessBoost event will take place in Rotterdam on Nov. 29. Other celebrities that will participate include Dutch media mogul John de Mol, Pieter Zwart of online retailer Coolblue, singer Matt Simons, TV presenters Eva Jinek, Winston Gerschtanowitz and Jort Kelder, and comic Jan Jaap van der Wal.
