Fatal fall from Nijmegen home not a crime: police

The death of a 34-year-old man from Kleve, Germany after falling from a roof in Nijmegen on Monday, was an accident, the police concluded. The case is now closed.

The man and a number of other contractors were doing renovation work on the home on Groesbeekseweg when he fell to his death around 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The police initially suspected that he might have been killed in a crime. But investigation revealed that this was not the case.

The victim's body was released to his family.
