Car goes up in flames while driving; motorist escapes unharmed

A motorist was lucky to escape with only a fright when his car suddenly caught fire while he was driving through Waalwijk during the early hours of Monday morning, Omroep Brabant reports.

The motorist was driving on Biesbosweg around 2:15 a.m. when he noticed smoke coming out of the car. He pulled over and called the fire department. When firefighters arrived at the scene, the car was already enveloped in flames.

Firefighters extinguished the fire using foam. Not much is left of the car, according to the broadcaster.
