Residents arrested for hitting armed robber with a delivery van: Report

The two people arrested in connection with an armed robbery on Limburgsingel in Arnhem on Thursday night, are the two residents of the home that was robbed, the Gelderlander reports. 34-year-old Albert K. and a 32-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of involvement in a fatal accident immediately after the robbery and some 70 meters from their home, according to the newspaper.

An armed robber was killed when he was hit by a delivery van, driven by either K. or the woman, according to the newspaper. There is talks of a second armed robber, but the police are still investigating if anyone else was involved.

The van that hit the as yet unidentified robber belongs to snack bar Snackattack. An employee went to Limburgsingel to deliver a pizza and ran away when he heard shots fired.

According to local residents, the residents of the robbed home recently posted an ad on Marktplaats offering a 30 thousand euro Rolex for sale.
