Young man critically injured in Amsterdam stabbing

A young man was critically injured in a stabbing on Hofgeest in Bijlmer, Amsterdam on Tuesday night. The perpetrator is still at large, AT5 reports.

The victim is a 20-year-old man who lives in an apartment on Hofgeest. He was walking down the street from his apartment building around 11:30 p.m. when another man suddenly attacked him.

The young man was stabbed multiple times. Local residents heard him screaming and called the police.

An ambulance and a trauma doctor gave the victim first aid at the scene before rushing him to the AMC hospital in critical condition.

The suspect fled in the direction of a nearby subway station. He is still at large.
