Motorcycle gang murder suspects released in surprise twist
Four of six suspects in a double motorcycle gang murder in Hooge Zwaluwe last year were released from custody on November 30th. The other two were extradited to Belgium to serve a previous sentence, the Dutch authorities announced on Thursday, Omroep Brabant reports.
The court ruled that the six Belgian suspects spent enough time in custdoy for this crime. They will now be allowed to await their trial in freedom, except for the two who will do so from a Belgian prison. The suspects do have to adhere to a number of conditions, including staying close to their place of residence and reporting to the probabion service on a weekly basis.
This case revolves around the brutal murders of former No Surrender fontman Brian Dalfour and Macedonian Muljaim Naddzak in a vacation home in Hooge Zwaluwe in October last year. The authorites believe the murders were the result of a rip deal - a drug deal in which one party tries to get away with both the money and the drugs. According to Omroep Brabant, 15 kilos of cocaine and 390 thousand euros were involved in this particular deal.
The court released suspect Youssef C. from custody due to a lack of sufficient serious objections. Roy O., Ghalid T. and Mohammed L. were released due to personal circumstances. The two prime suspects Samir T. and Michel H. were also released from Dutch custody, but directly into Belgian custody where they have to serve sentences for other drug offenses, according to the broadcaster.
