Witness: Suspect in fatal Amsterdam stabbing seemed "disturbed"

The man arrested for stabbing another man to death on Jacob van Lennepstraat in Amsterdam on Monday morning, seemed to be mentally disturbed, a local resident who spoke to the man said to AT5. According to the witness, he turned onto the street around 5:30 a.m. and noticed the man. "I saw a man sitting on the sidewalk with his underpants. With a bloodied body. And at first I thought he was the victim." He spoke to the man who gave "a very disturbed impression". "He was probably on drugs. He also said he was 'spaced out'", the witness said to the local broadcaster. "He spoke English and said: "I am going to kill that guy, I am going to kill that guy'. I asked, who, where, and got no answer." The police arrived and quickly established that the man was not a victim - he had no injuries on him. The victim was found and the blood-covered man was arrested.
