Netherlands asks Ireland to extradite Amsterdam murder suspect

The Public Prosecutor in the Netherlands submitted a request to Ireland for the extradition of Naoufal F., his lawyer confirmed to the Telegraaf. F. was arrested in Dublin last month and is facing six charges in Ireland, including including possession of false documents, which in Ireland carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. The Public Prosecutor wants him back in the Netherlands for several crimes, including an assault in Amsterdam in 2012, according to the newspaper. F. was also a suspect in the 2012 Staatsliedenbuurt assassinations, largely seen as the shootout that started the Amsterdam gang war. He will be questioned as a witness in the Staatsliedenbuurt case in the Irish prison on Monday.
