Fog, hail & thunderstorms across Netherlands today

Not much chance for sunshine in the Netherlands today. The morning starts out with dense fog in several parts of the country, and most of the Netherlands can expect hail and thunderstorms during the afternoon, according to meteorological institute KNMI. The KNMI issued a code yellow warning for reduced visibility due to fog for the Wadden area and the provinces of Noord-Holland, Friesland and Flevoland. Visibility in these areas could be reduced to less than 200 meters. The fog is expected to clear up during the course of the morning. The warning remains in effect until 9:00 a.m. Storms, thunder and hail is expected for the afternoon and evening. For this too the KNMI issued a code yellow warning for provinces Friesland, Groningen, Gelderland, Flevoland, Utrecht and Noord-Brabant. The warning is in effect from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Maximum temperatures will range from 13 degrees in the Wadden area to 17 degrees in the southeast of the country. The weekend is also expected to be rainy, especially on Saturday. Afternoon temperatures will range between 9 and 14 degrees. From Monday the KNMI expects a few rain-less days with even some sunshine.
