Dutch men, Paris attacker on Europe's most wanted list

Europol launched a website showing the 45 most wanted criminals in Europe, similar to the American FBI's most wanted list. There are two Dutch criminals on the list, as well as Salah Abdeslam - one of the suspects in the Paris terrorist attacks in November last year. The website lists "high-profile, internationally wanted criminals and terrorists". Citizens can anonymously provide information through the site, which is available in multiple languages. Europol hopes that information from the public will help tract these fugitives down. The two Dutch men on the site are 31 year old Cumali Ata and 40 year old Hasan Aksema. According to the site, Ata is wanted for murder, grievous bodily injury and organized or armed robbery. He was sentenced to 11.5 years in prison. According to NU, Ata murdered his cousin in 2004 and fled to Turkey. He is now believed to be living in Germany or the Netherlands under a fake name. Aksema is wanted for counterfeiting and piracy of products, kidnapping, illegal restraint and hostage taking, murder and grievous bodily injury, according to Europol. He was convicted to life imprisonment. According to NU., Aksema kidnapped his daughter and fled to Libya after murdering his wife. Paris attacker Sala Abdeslam is on the top of the list. Europol describes him as "very dangerous and armed". Mohamed Abrini is also on the lift. He drove to Paris with Abdeslam two days before the terrorist attacks in the city. Abdeslam and Abrini are the only two on the list wanted on suspicion of terrorism. A total of 28 police forces within the European Union worked together to compose the list.
