Dutch firm selling "World's Smallest Drone" to shoot video

Dutch lifestyle and tech business TRNDlabs has introduced a new drone they claim is the world’s smallest to be fitted with a camera. The SKEYE Nano Drone is barely four centimeters square, weighs around 14 grams, and shoots video in a fixed direction, the company says. The video quality leaves something to be desired, at just a VGA resolution of 640 x 480. However, more minutes of footage can fit onto the onboard 2 GB MicroSD card. The Nano Drone is not meant to be a replacement for professional drones with much better video capabilities, or the ability to attach your own camera to it, CEO Gerard Nieuwenhuis explains. “Our product is really a gotta-have-it gadget that gives people their first chance to come into contact with drones,” he told RTL Nieuws. “A real impulse purchase because people think its awesome.” In addition to its electronics-related gear, the company sells six different models of drones from its offices in Rijssen, Overijssel. This includes a larger, nine centimeter drone capable of 1280x720 HD ready video. They also have facilities in Hong Kong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4S_4h0Mle8
