Dutch broadcast crew beaten, robbed in Amsterdam Oost

Two members of the KRO-NCRV program De Monitor's film crew was assaulted and robbed in Amsterdam-Oost on Tuesday afternoon. The robbers got away with a camera and tripod. De Monitor's host Teun de Keuken tweeted about the incident and a spokesperson for the broadcaster confirmed it to Het Parool. The crew was filming some street scenes around 4 p.m. on Tuesday near 1st Oosterparkstraat when three youths attacked. According to De Keuken, the youths hit a cameraman over the head. They grabbed the camera and tripod and fled in the direction of Amstelstation on a red scooter. According to the spokesperson for the broadcaster, the youths were watching the film crew for some time before they attacked. All members of the film crew are doing well under the circumstances. The incident was reported to the police and officers searched the area for the suspects.
