Dutch rich getting richer

The richest people in the Netherlands seem to be doing well for themselves. For the first time since the crisis, the 500 richest Dutch people saw their collective wealth grow by 10 percent. And four new billionaires have been added to the list. This is according to the latest edition of Quote 500, in which magazine Quote estimates the wealth of the wealthiest Dutch, Het Parool reports. Randstad employment agency founder Frits Goldschmeding is still number one on the list and saw his wealth grow from 3.2 billion euros to 4.7 billion euros this year. Second and third place are also still the same - investor Dik Wessels with 3 billion and media mogul John de Mol at 2.5 billion euros. The Netherlands' newest billionaires include large industrial Wim van der Leegte and beer magnate Thick Hoyer. Other famous Dutch on the list are Joop van den Eende at 7th place with 1.5 billion euros, former minister Herman Heinsbroek with 220 million euros, DJ Tiesto with 83 million, former Prime Minister Ruud Lubbers with 64 million and football players Dennis Bergkamp and Ruud van Nistelrooij with a nice 45 million each. All and all the net worth of the richest people in the Netherlands amounts to some 91.9 billion euros. Charlene de Carvalho, daughter of late beer tycoon Freddy Heineken, is still the wealthiest Dutch person abroad with an estimated worth of 9.6 billion euros.
