Female student "shocked" to find camera hidden in dorm room

A 20 year old student found a camera hidden under the sink in her dorm room in Breda on Sunday night. A 36 year old man from Etten-Leur was arrested. According to the police, the young woman was very upset by the discovery. "Recordings were made in one of the most intimate places in her home. This is the deepest violation of someone's privacy". The 20 year old woman studies in Breda and lives in a student residence on Haagweg. On Sunday night she discovered a hole under her sink. Closer inspection revealed a hidden camera and immediately called the police. The police traced the cables and discovered that they lead to a house located behind the dorm. They broke down the door and found what appeared to be recording equipment. The 36 year old man was arrested. Police spokesperson Erik Passchiers told RTL Nieuws that it is not yet clear what the man's relationship with the girl is. "The procedure in the case of the student is that we are going to do investigate with a special team. That special team will also study the recordings. This will happen in the very short term." Passchiers added that the discovery of the camera hidden in the room is "unique". "We sometimes find cameras in pools, but I can not remember ever finding a rotating camera in a student dorm."
