Over 25 degrees: Sun to shine on festival nationwide

This weekend will to be warm and sunny, with afternoon temperatures of between 25 and 30 degrees expected for Saturday and Sunday. Ideal weather conditions for the festivals, like Sail, Grachtenfestival and Lowlands, taking place in the coming days. According to the Telegraaf, the beautiful summer weather is thanks to an extensive high pressure belt affecting the weather in the Netherlands from Thursday. Thursday will be a bit cloudy in the western part of the country, with maybe some rain in the extreme southwest. Further inland will be sunny and dry with little wind. Afternoon temperatures can rise to up to 26 degrees. Friday will be warm and sunny nation wide, with maximum temperatures of between 23 and 27 degrees. The summer weather will last all through the weekend, but there will be an increased chance of thundershowers late on Sunday.
